We have had crates for a little over a year now and also bought 6 older ones. We enjoy them very much. the themes are really fun and diverse, some very historical and others a bit more general (we loved the grimm one). Often there is something to learn. The materials are excellent. By now we have a bit of a feel for the boxes and even with the older boxes we seldomnly use a hint. But it is always a puzzle and a fun evening.We love that you can take your time as we often do not have enough time in an evening to finish a crate but just pick it up again a week later.

These games are so much fun - and I play solo. They are so creative - each one being so unique in terms of game play. Their hints are great - they don't give you the answers but gently nudge you in the right direction so you still get the thrill of figuring them out (with a little help!). The little tangible items that come along with the papers are a lot of fun, and really add dimension to the adventures. And they are very caring games, too - always providing any type or warnings or triggers that might come into their stories - which, in my opinion, is just a caring way to make sure their games are fun for absolutely everyone. My only complaint is I wish they came out EVERY month - not just bi-monthly!

This is the 2nd year of our subscription. We absolutely love it! My partner and I (30-40yrs old) love playing this game together. The more we play the better we get at anticipating what the puzzles are asking us to do. It’s neither too hard or too easy! It also plays to our individual strengths, which I love! It’s not a one-sided game where one person consistently solves the puzzles easier than the other. We often complete the box over 2 nights. Spending one night at home and then going to our favorite “watering hole” to play and make a night of it!

We’ve completed three crates, and we loved them all! They are really well designed and challenging. We enjoy these more than actual escape rooms because they take longer to complete, and we can go at our own pace. We like that they are split into chapters so we can take a break and go back to it later. We have recommended these games to friends and already ordered a new subscription!

We are escape room veterans and I was a little skeptical that a box could deliver the goods. While there wasn't anywhere near the level of running around like the proverbial headless chickens, I was VERY impressed by the quality of the materials, the pace of the narrative, and the cleverness of the puzzles. They were varied both in terms of types and difficulty levels, allowing every participant to make valuable contributions and solutions. This is the perfect package for family game night, or for a training run for the usual Escape Room maniacs. Wonderful job, guys! We are already looking forward to the next one...

I love these boxes! Challenging and entertaining with enough of a hint system when you need it without feeling like you completely cheated or were super stuck and frustrated. I usually solve them alone but the recordings are really handy when you have more people - I have found with other subscription boxes you have to wait for everyone to finish reading everything etc. which makes it more difficult the more people you have. Very interesting and creative topics, puzzles and such a variety of both. You can't go wrong if you like a good story and some fun puzzle/story solving time! Highly recommend!
